Enrolment still open for Diploma Programme courses online
The International Baccalaureate® and Pamoja Education are gearing up for the September launch of eight new Diploma Programme courses online.
Places are still available in all eight courses, but are filling up fast. Schools are encouraged to contact Pamoja Education immediately if they are interested in enrolment for September 2010.
Many school administrators find themselves faced with year-end challenges,
says Darren Hughes, head of online learning development at the IB.
Sometimes teachers leave the school unexpectedly, or new students turn up at the last minute. And sometimes existing students would like more choice. In all of these cases, online courses can be the solution.
Pamoja Education will be offering eight two-year courses starting in September:
- Business and Management SL
- Economics SL
- Economics HL
- ITGS SL
- ITGS HL
- Mathematics HL
- Psychology SL
- Spanish ab initio
This year’s offerings build and expand on the success of last year’s courses, and reflect the long-term, comprehensive cooperation agreement announced by the IB and Pamoja Education in March 2010. That agreement foresees the development of at least 27 courses, in all six subject areas plus the core, over a five year period. Pamoja Education and the IB are cooperating closely in the areas of course development and delivery, to ensure that these courses provide a unique and outstanding IB learning experience.
All Pamoja Education courses are subject to the IB’s rigorous course approval process, and are taught by experienced IB teachers. Classes are highly interactive and collaborative, bringing teachers and students from around the world together in a dynamic 21st century learning environment.
