Assessment Analyst - Diploma Programme Ref 348c

This position will support the work of the assessment division, analysing and evaluating the effectiveness of the IB’s assessment procedures.
Working as part of a team of two assessment analysts and alongside the assessment quality and research manager and deputy manager, the main function of the position is to ensure the Diploma Programme examination results issued are reliable, valid and fair. This includes:
- interpreting linear regression data to maximise grade reliability
- responding to queries from schools regarding their results
- producing statistical reports on examination session data
- advising on the design of subject assessment models.
A mathematical background is required to degree level and experience of educational assessment and research would be desirable. You will have a sound knowledge of statistics and an ability to work with statistical software (SPSS). An excellent command of written English is essential as is the ability to make complex and difficult decisions quickly and defend them.
Given the nature of the role, occasional weekend working will be necessary.
This post is a full-time position, based in Cardiff.
