Primary Years Programme (PYP) Associate Regional Manager
2 year contract based in Geneva, Switzerland
Contract starts on 01 January 2008 (starting 01 March 2008 may be considered)
Under the direction of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Regional Manager, the PYP Associate Regional Manager advises, facilitates, supports and informs the development and expansion of the PYP in schools throughout the Africa, Europe and Middle East region. The role involves organizing, conducting and monitoring school visits; selecting, training, coordinating and evaluating workshop leaders; contributing to the development of PYP professional development services and representing the programme at workshops and conferences. Due to the nature of the work this role involves extensive travel (including many weekends) throughout the region.
A tertiary degree and teaching qualifications along with considerable PYP experience as a teacher and/or PYP coordinator is a requirement for an application to be considered. Excellent written and spoken skills in English are essential and knowledge of French and/or Spanish would be a distinct advantage. High-level organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary for this post and excellent communication skills both written and oral are essential. We are looking for candidates who are creative, sensitive to cultural differences, flexible, open to feedback and can work in different teams identifying priorities and meeting deadlines.
