Research Manager

Salary: US $54,000 - $70,000

The postholder will be responsible for the data collection and analysis of projects within their remit and will undertake research projects under the daily management of the Head of Research, Communication and Development.

Essential Functions:

  • Undertake research projects, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data related to the programs in the region to monitor quality, identify issues and provide information to other divisions. 
  • Undertake statistical and data analysis for the successful completion of research projects.
  • Track, study and analyze the educational trends, legislation, initiatives, and policy developments in the North American region.
  • Collect information on research and active legislation on the International Baccalaureate programmes in North America.
  • Work with Head of Research, Development and Communications to support activities and priorities of the IB North America Research Committee.
  • Develop and manages relationships with potential partners and writing Requests for Proposals (RFP) for potential projects.
  • Effectively communicate research priorities and agenda to others both inside and outside of the organization.

 

Minimum five years successful experience in conducting and managing institutional research;

Minimum of a Master's degree in a social science, research, or related field with an emphasis on quantitative and qualitative research;

Training in and successful experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies;

Broad understanding of the field of education in North America, its practices, policies, politics, and programs;

Familiarity with the resources available for research in the field of education;

Significant skills in Information Technology data analysis and web software;

Some experience or familiarity with International Baccalaureate programs is helpful;

Fluency in French and / or Spanish helpful.

Extremely organized with great communication skills.
