SUBJECT AREA MANAGER—INDIVIDUALS AND SOCIETIES – PART-TIME, THREE DAYS PER WEEK REF 95                             

Salary:  £28,980 - £34,049 per year pro rata*

Closing date: 3 November 2006

You will support the development and management of subjects within group 3, in particular the subject named “Information Technology in a Global Society” (ITGS).

A broad knowledge of ICT and a humanities background is desirable for this post. The ability to work within the group 3 team and to lead teams of examiners, to take individual responsibility and initiative and to be able to plan and organize is essential. Involvement in curriculum development and assessment in schools at the upper secondary level is also desirable for this post.

You will be a qualified graduate teacher, will have taught in an appropriate curriculum area and preferably, will have experience of international education. The ability to work in English is essential. The position will involve some travel in the UK and abroad.

This post is based at the IB offices in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Working days for this part-time role will be arranged by mutual agreement.
