Systems Engineer Ref 260

2 year fixed term contract

Salary: circa £28,000 per year

Closing date for receipt of applications: 01 May 2008

Based within the systems and security section, this is a technical role that requires in-depth knowledge and experience of one or more of the following: Sun Solaris, Linux, Novell Netware, TCP/IP communications, and/or Windows Server Operating system.

You will have proven ICT experience, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will have a good understanding of high availability network configurations and network administration and the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical staff. Some out-of-hours work and standby may be required.
