New publishing for the Diploma Programme

The International Baccalaureate and Oxford University Press are delighted to announce the launch of a new publishing agreement. The aim is to prepare high quality supplementary resources for IB Diploma Programme students.

A new series of Course Companions for Diploma Programme students is being developed and the first titles, Economics, Mathematical Studies, Psychology and Theory of Knowledge, will be available from late 2006/early 2007. These Course Companions are designed to support students through IB Diploma Programme subjects with advice and guidance on the syllabus and assessment requirements.

Each Course Companion will focus strongly on the IB learner profile (a set of learning outcomes which define the type of learner the IB hopes to develop through its programmes) and internationalism, and the IB Theory of Knowledge requirement will be addressed throughout.

Our author teams include experienced IB Diploma Programme teachers and examiners to ensure that the content is relevant and pitched at the right level. Specialist Theory of Knowledge and internationalism consultants will also be part of the team. Examples and case studies will be drawn from the widest possible international base to ensure they are applicable to all regions.
