The workshop will take place at the Marriott Detroit at the Renaissance Center. The International Baccalaureate (IB) has arranged preferred room rates for this workshop. Reservations must be made before 5:00PM EST Thursday, 20 September 2012.

  • Please be aware that dinner is not included in the conference registration fee and will not be provided on any of the workshop dates.

International Travel

  • All non-citizens must present proof of citizenship to enter the United States or Canada. 
  • An acceptable form of identification is a valid passport.

Ground Transportation 

  • Hotel is approximately 30 minutes from Detroit/Wayne County (DTW).  
  • The hotel does not offer shuttle service.
  • Taxicabs are approximately USD $40.00 one-way. 
  • Rates subject to change.

Parking

  • The hotel offers self-parking at the Beaubien, Port Atwater (both on Beaubien Street) and Miller garages (Renaissance Drive) for approximately USD $8.00 per car, per hour weekday or USD $4.00 per car, per hour weekend.
  • Valet parking is available for approximately USD $25.00 per car, per day inclusive of taxes. 
  • Rates are subject to change. 

Miscellaneous

  • Please remember that meeting room temperatures and personal comfort zones vary widely. 
  • It is recommended that you bring a sweater or jacket to all sessions.
