Africa, Europe, Middle East
South Africa in the south, Russia in the north and the east and Iceland in the west mark the borders of the IB Africa, Europe, Middle East region. We are a region with a wealth of cultural and linguistic varieties that provide an ideal platform for a discussion about the nature of international education. At present there are more than 620 schools in 83 countries teaching one or more of the three IB programmes. All three IB official languages—English, French and Spanish—are represented among the IB World Schools in our region. The growth rate has been 10–15% over the last five years.

There are 134 schools providing the Primary Years Programme in 50 countries, 119 providing the Middle Years Programme in 43 countries and 697 providing the Diploma Programme in 83 countries.
The IB Africa, Europe, Middle East regional office is located in Geneva, Switzerland. This office provides a wide range of services to IB World Schools and to prospective schools that are interested in our programmes.
