IB schools from Mumbai gathered together on 15 Nov 2008 at a meeting hosted by Vice Chairperson - Council of Foundation, Dr Indu Shahani.
The schools shared their CAS program me and how it has helped their students become sensitized, responsible and caring individuals of society. It was an interactive session with LIFE Trust (NGO) & there were discussions on how a joint community service project could be organized. Ms Judith Guy Regional Director IB Asia Pacific was present to help this initiative be given the right momentum.
The IB schools decided to meet once in six months and share their CAS initiatives. It was an enriching and educating experience as the CAS presentation rolled . . . . from tribal teaching to school building to teaching challenged students. The beauty of these projects was that it was a win-win situation for the IB students as well as the learners whom they interacted with who were from different backgrounds & social milieu.
