Recognized university courses of study
Every university course will enable students to target a series of essential questions within each area of inquiry that relate to the effective implementation of a specific IB programme. Precisely how they do this will depend upon how particular universities structure their course content and assessment activities.
Recognized postgraduate courses are required by the IB to meet all the requirements associated with the Level 1 award. In some cases the university, in conjunction with the IB, may decide that the course only addresses some of the Level 1 award requirements. In such circumstances universities will inform participants prior to enrollment that some of the award requirements cannot be met and suggest possible strategies for meeting all the award’s requirements. This might involve participating in IB-approved workshops or undertaking additional courses at partner universities.
