Offers data

In 2005, there were 26,024 applications through UCAS from 4,599 applicants taking an IB. The breakdown between applications that received offers, applicants that achieved a HE place and unsuccessful applicants is illustrated below.  As applicants can make up to six choices, it is possible for them to be in receipt of a number of offers, either conditional or unconditional, and therefore data on offers is presented in terms of applications rather than applicants.

A total of 26,024 applications were made by IB applicants. Of these applications, 18,306 (70.3%) received an offer through the UCAS mainscheme. 18,092 (69.5%) applications received a conditional offer and 214 (0.8%) applications received an unconditional offer.  Of the 4,599 applicants making an application, 70.7% (3,252 applicants) successfully gained a HE place.
